Today, Canada is experiencing a shortage of workers in select occupations. The current Federal Skilled Worker program requires potential immigrants to either secure a job offer in Canada, or have experience in one of 29 occupations in demand to apply for immigration to Canada.

In recent years, the different provinces were experiencing problems filing shortages within their own specific job markets. As a result, the Federal government and most of the Canadian provinces signed an agreement to allow the these provinces within Canada to select immigrants based on their own specific needs. If you intend on immigrating to or residing in a specific province, we highly recommend reviewing the individual provincial nominee program for the province of your choice.

Canada offers fast-track immigration programs to those who have experience in one or more of the following occupations. Immigrating to Canada through a fast-track immigration program can take anywhere between 6 to 18 months.
