Intra-Company Transfers
The Intra-company Transfer Program allows foreign businesses to transfer their key employees to a Canadian branch, subsidiary, or affiliate of their company. Employees who qualify under this program can apply for a work permit without first obtaining a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
In order to qualify for the Intra-company Transfer Program, you must have a year of full-time work experience with a foreign company and perform equivalent work for the same company in Canada. In addition to this, workers must fit into one of the following categories:
- Executive
- Senior Managerial
- Specialized Knowledge
